What animal is known for having a very long neck?

When thinking of an animal with an exceptionally long neck, one creature immediately springs to mind. This magnificent mammal is instantly recognizable due to its towering stature, a characteristic primarily attributed to its elongated neck. This remarkable adaptation allows it to reach foliage high in trees, giving it a distinct advantage over other herbivores when foraging for food in its African savanna habitat.

Despite its impressive length, this animal's neck actually contains the same number of vertebrae as most other mammals, including humans – seven. Each individual vertebra, however, is greatly extended, contributing to the neck's overall considerable size.
