Trivia Cafe

Privacy Policy

Last updated 15 September 2026

The short version. You can play everything on Trivia Cafe without an account. We measure visits with Google Analytics, our hosts keep ordinary server logs, and if you choose to give us something (an email for the newsletter, a name for a leaderboard, a message through the contact form) we keep what you typed. We do not sell your data.

Who runs this site

Trivia Cafe is operated by Freedom Games LLC (indie.io). Questions, corrections and data requests go through the contact form.

Cookies and local storage

  • Google Analytics sets cookies to count visits and tell a returning player from a new one.
  • Your browser’s local storage remembers small things such as which questions you have already voted on or revealed. That stays on your device.

Blocking cookies does not stop you playing.

Advertising

Trivia Cafe shows no advertising and runs no advertising scripts or ad trackers. If that ever changes, this page will be updated before any ads appear.

Who we share it with

Only the services that make the site work: Google Analytics for measurement, Cloudflare and our hosting provider for delivery, and our email provider for the newsletter. We do not sell or rent your personal information.

Your choices

  • Unsubscribe from the newsletter with the link in any issue, or ask us to remove your address.
  • Ask what we hold about you, or ask us to delete it, through the contact form.
  • Opt out of analytics with a content blocker or Google’s opt-out add-on.
  • If you are in the EU, UK or California you have rights of access, correction and deletion under the GDPR or CCPA. Use the same form and we will action it.

Children

Some sections, such as Trivia Kids and Trivia Family, are made for younger players to enjoy with an adult. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, and the only personal fields on the site (a newsletter email or a leaderboard name) should be filled in by a parent or guardian. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Where data is held

Our servers are in the United States, and Cloudflare serves cached pages from locations around the world.
