Q: Some believe the Duat is a single, static underworld, but it is divided into twelve sections by guarded gates, each tied to an hour of the night.

Busted: The liver and kidneys already effectively remove toxins from the body. There is no scientific evidence that special diets, juices, or supplements enhance this natural process.

Q: You should 'feed a cold and starve a fever.'

Busted: This old adage is largely unsupported by modern medicine. When you have a cold or a fever, your body needs energy and nutrients to fight off infection, so it's important to stay hydrated and eat light, nutritious meals. Starving a fever can actually hinder your recovery.
