The North American Free Trade Agreement was a landmark economic pact implemented in 1994 between the United States, Canada, and Mexico. Its primary goal was to eliminate most tariffs and trade barriers, creating one of the world's largest free-trade zones. In 2020, this agreement was officially replaced by the updated United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA).

The second term, SCUBA, is a well-known acronym that perfectly describes the equipment's function: a Self-Contained Underwater Breathing Apparatus. This technology revolutionized underwater exploration by freeing divers from the cumbersome hoses that had previously tethered them to a surface-based air supply. The first successful and safe open-circuit SCUBA system, famously known as the Aqua-Lung, was co-developed by the famed oceanographer Jacques Cousteau and engineer Émile Gagnan during the 1940s, opening up the deep sea to scientists, hobbyists, and adventurers alike.
